What SHOULD Have Happened

No matter how dynamic the revelations of Scott McClellan's new book, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception it will be too little too late for more than 4000 dead and 29,000 wounded American service personnel. It will be too little too late for millions of Iraqis. And it may not even be in time to help save millions of Iranians who are now being drawn into the sights of this War Mongering Neocon White House.

Instead of Preemptive War we need Preemptive Impeachment. I would not be at all opposed to having a president Impeached and Removed for expressing any desire to go to war without a Lawful Declaration of War. If Murder is a serious Crime - how serious is the Crime of Preemptive War without cause? What is the murder of one, or a few, compared to the destruction of entire ethnic groups and countries - with more invasions being planned all the time? One Megalomaniac is more than enough for a generation. But it seems we are plagued by an Epidemic - a Culture of Death in our own White House.

Bush's former handler Karl Rove has apparently said, "If he had these moral qualms…he should have spoken up about them." Right! The same White House who bullied this pusillanimous Congress into the Iraq Quagmire is going to tolerate dissent from a lowly press secretary?! Rove might just as easily have said, "If we had known McClellan was going to have morals we wouldn't have hired him in the first place!" Or, perhaps, "We always had to keep an eye out for anyone who might develop an unnecessary case of ethics." It will be comical in a pathetic sort of way to witness the next snow job on this "McClellan problem" from the present White House press secretary. Court Jesters are always dispensable. But they are supposed to have a special kind of discretion. How many press secretaries will it take to get us to next January 20th?

Bush's initial incredulity: "What Happened? - It doesn't sound like Scott"

Denial runs deep in this most unseemly aristocracy. How shameful for Scott McClellan to betray the trust of the POTUS! How could he be talking out of school so soon after leaving government service?

Scott McClellan has spilled the beans on Bush. Now he is going to make millions - and not a few people will be jealous. Perhaps more renegade White House staffers will tell us even more. It does seem like a variation on chickens coming home to roost if McClellan can make multiples of his government salary for telling the truth. And if the Bushies don't like it, let's set up some depositions and have Scott swear to his allegations on CSPAN!

Will all the rats leave Bush's sinking ship?

Can we be delivered from this ungodly administration? Is Scott McClellan the only White House insider who has noticed that this White House is a den of liars and thieves? Why are there not more defections? Perhaps that is what should frighten us the most!

For my money, and a lot of people are probably glad I don't have much, I would like to put a billion dollar [in Silver of course] reward on the table for the arrest and conviction of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, et al for the unlawful deaths of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Perhaps the other countries should start taking up collections to offer a reward for an American government that would obey its own laws. If anyone out there would like to make such an investment I would be in favor of it.

McClellan should have lots of company.

Far too few in government service are true patriots. We need thousands upon thousands of government servants to re-awaken to the cause of Liberty and stand on their Oaths to the Constitution and against every enemy of our lawful government. What good is the promise of a pension if the country is lost? To all of our government servants I would say: Choose ye this day whom ye will serve - whether it be the Constitution or the Outlaw in the White House! You are either with the People or with the Tyrants. You did not take an oath to tyranny. You can expose this president or you can betray your country.

To the Generals and Admirals: You can read and understand the Constitution and our history as well as any of us. Get a spine and stop coveting your pension and your pretended prestige more than your country. Without Honor all your Scrambled Eggs and Fruit Salad might just as well adorn the uniform of Idi Amin.

Enough is enough.

Please take a few minutes and carefully read the Government Code of Ethics. Now tell me! How many Scott McClellans should be standing shoulder to shoulder against this Pernicious Administration? The Code says: "ANY PERSON IN GOVERNMENT SERVICE SHOULD…Expose corruption wherever discovered..." The corruption has been discovered. What are we going to do about it?

BRING IT ON!

Out the Criminals and Save the Republic! I hope McClellan makes so much money on this book that it starts an Avalanche of Whistle Blowers! We could hardly find a better way to spend our money.

Unlawful War is Worse than Murder. It is hard the fathom the darkness of the souls of those who conspire to commit these most heinous of all crimes against humanity. They are now killing thousands to millions and murdering our own Republic at the same time.

So, I beg you all to join me and the Honorable General Smedley D. Butler in proclaiming the truth about war far and wide:

WAR IS A RACKET !

Note: I recently received a request from a European webmaster who wanted to post our on line version of War Is A Racket on his website. As it is in the Public Domain he didn't need permission - and I couldn't be more pleased. Thousands are reading it and realizing its timeless truths. Please read it again and again and pass it along to everyone you know. - Copyright © 2008 Bill Huff
